Eight business areas with features documented in the application review.
Engineering & Research Development
Documented application featureThe problem
Heater design brings together voltage, wattage, wire material, dimensions and winding geometry. These inputs need a consistent calculation process so engineers can compare candidate designs.
How we solved it
- We built electrical and geometry calculations for resistance, wire length, turns, pitch and watt density, with Nichrome and Kanthal D material selection.
- Automatic selections and manual pipe or core inputs support design review. Administrator-validated wire-master editing supports the reference data.
Engineering must validate the application rules and operating conditions. Controlled drawing, bill-of-materials and design-release workflows remain proposed.
- Enter design requirements
- Select wire material
- Compare calculated options
- Review the candidate design
How this helps the team
Engineers can compare calculated options in one workspace instead of rebuilding the arithmetic for each candidate. This reduces repeated calculation work and keeps attention on checking the design assumptions.
Calibration & Metrology
Documented application featureThe problem
Instrument details, readings, error calculations, report numbers and next due dates need to stay consistent across calibration and related performance documents.
How we solved it
- We built an editable calibration report with customer and instrument details, readings, automatic error evaluation, numbering, due dates, printing and CSV export.
- Linked performance reports reuse calibration context and evaluate error in Celsius or percentage, with their own searchable register.
Reference validity checks, independent issue approval, uncertainty handling and retained issued revisions require further implementation and review. Report generation does not establish accreditation.
- Enter instrument and readings
- Review error evaluation
- Prepare the report
- Print or export records
How this helps the team
The team can prepare reports and review calculated errors within one workflow. Reusing calibration context in performance reports reduces repeated entry and helps keep related document details aligned.
Human Resources, Recruitment & Onboarding
Documented application featureThe problem
Employment terms and compensation details need to be placed into consistent offer and appointment formats, checked before issue, and retained for later reference.
How we solved it
- We built offer-letter preparation with editable terms, a live A4 preview, confirmation, a searchable register and CSV export.
- Appointment preparation uses a four-page format with a compensation annexure, plus issue, edit, search, print and export functions.
Candidate tracking, signed acceptance, onboarding, employee-master integration and payroll are separate proposed workflows.
- Enter approved terms
- Preview offer or appointment
- Confirm or issue document
- Search, print or export
How this helps the team
HR can reuse established document formats and check the layout before issue, reducing repeated formatting. Separate offer and appointment registers make prepared records easier to find.
Management & Strategy
Documented application featureThe problem
Managers need a quick view of activity in the application, including calibration status, due reports, calculation runs and employment documents.
How we solved it
- We added an overview showing calibration totals and passes, due-soon items, heater calculation runs, and offer, appointment and performance-report counts.
These are application counts. Financial dashboards, budgets, cross-company performance and management action registers remain proposed.
How this helps the team
Managers get a starting view of the application’s available records and activity, helping them identify which register or pending calibration needs attention.
Sales & Customer Relationship Management
Documented application featureThe problem
Customer names and addresses need to be repeated accurately across calibration and performance forms.
How we solved it
- We added customer-detail reuse within the report workflows, so previously entered customer information can be used again and checked before output.
A customer account master, opportunity pipeline, quotation management and approved sales-order flow remain proposed.
How this helps the team
Staff can avoid retyping the same customer details for related reports, reducing routine entry and making document preparation more consistent.
Heater Production & Winding
Documented application featureThe problem
Winding preparation needs the selected wire gauge, length, turns, pitch and geometry to be available together for technical review.
How we solved it
- The calculator presents those design outputs together, allowing the team to consult the selected candidate’s winding information.
A calculation is setup support. Job travellers, wire-lot issue, production actuals, inspection and manufacturing release remain proposed.
How this helps the team
The team has a clearer reference for discussing setup requirements, reducing the need to piece together separate calculation outputs.
Stores & Inventory
Documented application featureThe problem
Heater geometry selection needs a consistent list of pipe and core size options.
How we solved it
- We included reference pipe and core options that can be selected when evaluating heater geometry.
These are size references, not available stock quantities. Receipts, reservations, lot balances, issues and stock reconciliation remain proposed.
How this helps the team
Design users can choose from the available reference options instead of re-entering common sizes for every calculation.
Information Technology, Data & Application Access
Documented application featureThe problem
The browser application needs a way to work with shared spreadsheet data, retain supported local records when shared saves fail, and offer convenient installation.
How we solved it
- We connected configured registers through Google Apps Script and Google Sheets, with browser-local save fallback and visible save messages.
- The installable application shell caches supported same-origin app assets.
Local storage is browser-specific and does not confirm shared synchronisation. Individual access roles, audit history, conflict handling and proven recovery remain proposed; the reviewed live workbook showed only the wire tabs.
How this helps the team
Users have a common interface for the supported tools, and local fallback can retain supported document records when a shared save fails. Installation makes the app easier to reopen.
